The Real Problem
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
The Real Problem
The main character is a retired scientist obsessed with the idea of making contact with an alien civilization. Sadly, she never managed to find any signs of alien life whatsoever. That changes when she recieves a signal from a distant planet. Suddenly, while trying to decipher it, she appears on an unknown place and in her head she hears a strange voice telling her that there's an important mission awaiting her. Her task is to explore the planet she landed on, understand the civilization that used to live there and send her findings back to Earth.
The real problem concerns itself with the phenomenon of conscious perception, which is unique to every being. The main mechanic is a sort of embodying of the consciousness of different creatures, which results in a change in the perception of the environment. To solve various puzzles present in the game, the player must correctly combine these different perspectives, since there is no "correct" way of seeing things.
This game is currently a prototype which was created as a master's project while studying Visual Design at FUD UJEP.
